Message from the Dean

The School of Computing at USA prepares students for jobs in a career field that is rich with a variety of opportunities. When students graduate, they are equipped for today's ever-changing, technology-driven job market. Our undergraduate majors are Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, and Health Informatics. Additionally, we have three graduate programs: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Computer Information Systems, and a Ph.D. in Computing. Our state-of-the-art facilities, opportunities for internships, and cutting-edge research provide our students with an exceptional learning experience.

Computer Information Systems, BS
The Computer Information Systems program prepares application developers and data specialists and offers a wide variety of elective choices, including the IT tracks, a Health Informatics certificate, or courses in data analytics or cloud computing.

Computer Information Systems, BS – Online Option
The online option for the Computer Information Systems degree program is ideal for non-traditional students and working professionals. Students earn an ABET-accredited computing degree while specializing in the use of applied AI tools.

The Computer Science Program provides students with practical, hands-on learning opportunities spanning various areas, including cyber-security, information assurance, big data, artificial intelligence, computer graphics, video game development, and robotics.

Health Informatics, BS
The Health Informatics program blends healthcare, technology, and interpersonal skills to empower students to use technology for enhancing patient care, supporting providers, and improving healthcare organizations.

The Information Technology program comprises a fundamental computing foundation, complemented by specialized tracks in digital forensics, networking, and web publishing.
